I enjoyed FINIAN'S RAINBOW at City Center and may elect to see the full production. I thought Cheyenne Jackson was charming as usual, and he sings well. His acting, however, is a bit like his character's name, Woody. As for being Broadway's most dependable matinee idol, well, I do remember his missing some performances of ALL SHOOK UP and XANADU. And if you're referring to ability to pull in customers, I think Hugh Jackman has him beat by a mile on both counts.
